1,011 Watchers?! 95,000 Artviews?? Incredible!
Just two years ago I celebrated my 300th watcher and 30k Artviews, now both counts have more than tripled. So many fav-notifications and comments turn up in my inbox everyday, even if I'm completely inactive for some time. -This is more than I ever could have imagined.
No, seriously, when I started out on dA as a 13yr old internet full-noob and complete amateur artist, only a handful of friends had any interest in the drawings at all. And even when I got better and started commentating, Forum crawling and Llama trading to generate a bit more page traffic, there were very, very few who stayed. It was rather depressing, really; All these hours put into drawings and noone would even look at them, let alone comment or fav.
So never would I have dreamed that 5 years later I would have recieved a Daily Deviation and almost a hundred thousand people would have seen my artwork -not to mention that said artwork would start showing up on Tumblr and similar sites, completely without my doing.
It's insane. And scary. But also a wonderful, wonderful feeling to know that so many people enjoy what you create.
Here's a big 'Thank you'
to all the amazing people who have been such a big support over the years, my closest friends, some of which I've known since the very beginning and of course to everyone else who +watched, +faved or commented, even if I did not personally respond. You always brighten my days.
Otherwise, things have been uneventful. The job at the garden centre is over, between working on my fathers Website and tackling the long list of Art Trades and other unfinished digital pieces, I have started writing more applications for apprenticeships and also for internships, to fill the next months. There's also the housework, so I sadly don't have any time to spend on pastel chalk pieces. Grsm.
Hopefully I will be able to finish at least three or four more, so my aunt can take them to the café the owner of which she knows, where they display and sell works of local artists.
